Chardonnay
Fine French white variety most closely linked to Burgundy, where it is solely responsible for the finest white wines. Now a New World favourite as well, and can be grown easily in a variety of climates. Natural vigour may require control through canopy management, although the variety is grown for all levels of production and numerous wine styles. Thin skins, and grapes can be susceptible to coulure.

Very flavoursome with notes of green apple and pear. Good acidity.

Early ripening. Good productivity - will require thinning for premium production. Well formed compact bunches, not tight.

Flavour profile
Good flavour intensity with some floral and peach notes. Very clean fruit flavours.
General Comments
Well bodied, balanced and meaty wines with complex aromas. Micro-vin 2007.

Beautiful intense muscat characteristics often used for blending superior white burgundies.
