Dolcetto

From Piedmont in the north west of Italy, this variety produces soft, round, fruity and fragrant early-drinking red wines. Fruit is early ripening and of low acidity, while skins have good tannins. Easy to cultivate, although susceptible to fungal diseases; less than easy in terms of winemaking.
