Vermentino

Attractive, aromatic white grape widely grown in Sardinia and Corsica, and increasingly in Languedoc-Rousillon. Thought to be identical to a Provencal variety known as 'Rolle' and also believed by some to be related to the Malvasia family . In Sardinia, it is picked deliberately early to retain acid levels, but still manages to produce lively wines of character. Body, acid and perfume are its hallmarks
